Ambar

Ambar is honey over stone. The background moves from cream to gold with no clean break, crossed by deeper amber veins that branch like roots and by pale patches that open up the pattern. It is one of the few stones in the collection that gives warm light on its own: in a north-facing room it returns the sun that never comes through the window. It answers throughout the house, and across a continuous floor it reads as a single material rather than a succession of pieces.
