Andalus White

Andalus White is among the cleanest whites in the collection. Across the background, very soft vertical striations can be made out — barely a change in brightness — giving the slab a direction without drawing anything. It is the white chosen when the stone must disappear and the light remain. It serves throughout the house — flooring, full-height cladding, kitchen, bathroom and outdoor work — and few pale stones cover that whole list. Across continuous surfaces it cannot be seen where one slab ends and the next begins, which is precisely what is asked of it.
