Blue Roma

Blue Roma resembles nothing else in the collection. The background is a very pale blue-grey, almost ice, and over it runs a net of oxidised amber veins that branch like roots and reach the edges. The contrast between the cold of the background and the warmth of the vein is the whole argument. It is quartzite, it answers throughout the house, and against the light the background lightens further and the net stands out like an ink drawing.
