Forest Green

Forest Green is a forest floor seen from above. The background is a deep green of tight grain, crossed by branches of a reddish brown that fork and cut across one another like roots seen in section. The contrast between the cold green and that dark wood is the argument. Across a large wall the pattern becomes the subject of the room; in a small piece it is lost.
