New Portoro

New Portoro is the black with the most gold in the collection. The background is a bluish black broken by a net of wide golden veins that separate the stone into blocks, with fine white threads filling the cracks between them. There is no quiet area: the pattern occupies the whole slab. It is a stone for counted pieces — an island top, a fireplace front, a bathroom wall — and not for running surfaces.
