Nobuk

Nobuk is a brown so dark it passes for black. The background has a clouded texture, with paler areas surfacing like damp patches, run through with fine, short white threads that appear and are lost without drawing anything. It is one of those stones that change completely with the finish: honed it looks like leather, polished it looks like stone.
