Noir Blanc

Noir Blanc is the cleanest black there is. The background is deep and even, without texture or blotches, and all that crosses it are four or five white veins of very fine stroke, long and decisive, forking only once and reaching edge to edge. Nothing more. That restraint is what separates it from a marquina: here the vein is a gesture and not a subject.
