Onyx Esmeralda

Onyx Esmeralda is not chosen from a catalogue: it is chosen in front of the slab. Greens of still water and large rust-coloured marks spreading over them like continents on a map, with areas the light enters and others where it stops. It is there for a single piece — a front, a table, an object — looked at closely and looked at slowly. It is worked slab by slab, and no two tell the same thing.
