Onyx Honey

Onyx Honey is spilled honey, held still. Bands of amber, gold and cream folding over themselves in concentric circles, as if the material were still moving and someone had stopped it. Lit from behind, the yellow catches fire and the bands arrange themselves in depth. It is for a single piece, seen close up and with light planned for it. It is chosen in front of the slab, never from a photograph, because no two repeat.
