Rosso Maracay is scorched earth. A deep red, between rust and mahogany, crossed by darker veins and by bluish and greenish flashes that only appear when the light falls from the side — and then the stone stops being red for a moment. It is quartzite, among the hardest in the collection, and it answers throughout the house. It needs no company: in a small room, a single piece is already everything there is to look at.
