Rosso Mare Nostrum

Rosso Mare Nostrum is a fired-earth red broken into fragments. Between one piece and another run seams of greenish grey and small white splinters that separate them, so the colour never becomes a uniform mass. It is warm without being sweet and has something of a Roman floor about it. It goes in flooring, full-height cladding, bathrooms and outdoor spaces. On a floor, across a generous surface, is where the breccia reads entire and the stone says what it is: on a narrow skirting it is just another dark red.
